AC-PRO: Ritm works inside 1C as an extension for working time tracking. It receives arrival and departure records from access terminals and fills in the timesheet in the familiar 1C document according to the employee’s schedule and the company’s tracking rules. HR staff check a ready result and review deviations before payroll instead of putting the timesheet together by hand from logs.
Below we describe how this chain works, why timesheet hours are not always equal to the time between entry and exit, and what to prepare for launch. The capabilities and conditions are taken from the product page AC-PRO: Ritm.
From the employee record to the timesheet
The data path has four steps.
- Employee created in 1C. The hiring document creates the employee record on the terminal, and the dismissal document blocks access. There is no need to enter people in each device separately.
- Data sent to the terminal. Special cases are handled by commands in the employee record in 1C: upload, block, unblock, clear photo.
- Records returned to 1C. Every pass is recorded in the record log: terminal, time and method of the record.
- Timesheet filled in 1C. The “Timesheet” document has a “Fill in from terminals” button: 1C fills it in from records, schedules and rules.
The terminal records only the fact of a pass. Why a person was absent is shown by 1C documents: vacations, sick leave and other absences are kept when the timesheet is filled in.
Schedules and tracking rules
The timesheet takes into account each employee’s schedule, including shifts past midnight. Allowed lateness and early departure are set by a rule: period, organization and number of minutes.
The values themselves are chosen by the company: what tolerance is considered normal, who registers absences and by when. Under the Labor Code of Kazakhstan, the form and procedure of working time tracking are set by an act of the employer (Article 79, paragraph 3). So the rules are first fixed in an internal document and then entered in 1C.
Why timesheet hours differ from the time on site
The timesheet is calculated by the schedule and the rules for lateness and early departure, so its hours may differ from the time between the first entry and the last exit. The timesheet shows working time by the adopted rules, and the record log keeps the actual passes.
If an employee has only one record, presence cannot be measured exactly. The timesheet gets the planned hours marked “CHECK”, and the day goes to the list for review.
Overtime and work on weekends and public holidays are registered with their own documents in 1C:Salary and HR Management. Terminal records do not replace them.
Reviewing deviations before payroll
With Ritm, HR staff do not put the timesheet together; they check exceptions.
- The working time control report shows arrivals, departures and the number of records by employee and day. Late arrivals and early departures are visible before payroll, and the manager knows whom to check and for which day.
- Record log keeps the original entries: terminal, time and method of the record. In a dispute, the original records are opened and compared with the timesheet.
- Days with a single record are marked “CHECK” and wait for a decision by HR staff.
It helps to fix the review procedure in advance: who checks the report, how many days before payroll, and who registers missing documents. Then the timesheet reaches payroll already checked.
1C configurations and equipment
Ritm is installed as a 1C extension. Target solutions for Kazakhstan: 1C:ERP 2, 1C:Salary and HR Management ed. 3 and 1C:Salary and HR for Government Organizations ed. 2. Before launch, the company’s 1C release and HR scenarios are checked.
Ritm integrates with Hikvision, ZKTeco and Dahua terminals. An already installed terminal may work: the check needs the model, firmware version and exchange method, which are verified before delivery.
Records from several branches can be collected into one database if 1C has a network connection with the terminals. A closed network without the internet needs a local connection between 1C and the terminals; operation in such a network is confirmed for the specific configuration before delivery.
ONSET handles the equipment, installation and service. The software, implementation in 1C, schedules and timesheet remain with AC-PRO.
Employee photos and personal data
If the terminal recognizes an employee by face, the employee’s photo is personal data. The Law of Kazakhstan “On Personal Data and Their Protection” names a facial image an identifier of personal data (Article 6). As a general rule, such data are collected and processed with the consent of the data subject (Article 7). Consent is given in writing, through a state or non-state service, or in another way that allows its receipt to be confirmed (Article 8).
In practice, the company states the purpose of processing (working time tracking), obtains consent before uploading the photo and limits who has access to the photos. On dismissal, access is blocked and the photo is cleared with a command in the employee record. The law changed in 2025–2026, so the consent text should be checked with a lawyer and against the current version on adilet.zan.kz.
What to prepare for launch
To calculate the project, you will need:
- the 1C configuration and release;
- the number of employees and of 1C databases;
- sites, checkpoints and equipment;
- work schedules, including shifts past midnight;
- tracking rules: tolerance for lateness and early departure, the procedure for registering absences;
- employees’ consent to photo processing if records are made by face.
The launch time depends on the sites, schedules and equipment readiness. As a guide: 2–4 weeks for 100 employees, 4–6 weeks for 250, 6–8 weeks for 500 or more.

Frequently asked questions
Is the timesheet filled in fully automatically?
No. 1C fills in the timesheet from records, schedules and rules, and HR staff check the result. Days with a single record and deviations are reviewed before payroll.
Are timesheet hours equal to the time between entry and exit?
Not always. The timesheet is calculated by the schedule and the rules for lateness and early departure, so the hours may differ from the actual time on site.
What happens if an employee has only one attendance record?
The timesheet gets the planned hours marked “CHECK”. The day goes to the list for review: this is not an exact measurement of presence.
How are vacations, sick leave and night shifts handled?
Vacation, sickness and other absences from 1C are kept when the timesheet is filled in. Shifts past midnight are counted by the employee’s schedule.
Can records from branches be collected into one database?
This scenario is possible if 1C has a network connection with the terminals. We determine the equipment and the connection scheme during the site survey.
